KConnect: An Evaluative Framework for Collective Impact
KConnect is a network of diverse partners from across Kent County, MI, that has come together to promote and implement a common community agenda designed to help all children in the county access a path to prosperity through educational, community, and family resources. As a new initiative, KConnect sought out an evaluation partner that could support organizational growth and development as well as an evaluative framework that looks at the system of partners and participants to ensure shared measurement and approaches to impact.
pfc is working with KConnect, its board of trustees and network of working group,
and community stakeholders to develop and implement an evaluation protocol for the KConnect system, with an emphasis on ensuring that the KConnect backbone
organization has the structural capacity to carry out the Collective Impact Roadmap. Supportive strategies include facilitating data-gathering meetings with stakeholders, conducting anonymous surveys and individual interviews, and engaging the KConnect network in designing an adaptive and culturally sensitive evaluation tool. Our work with KConnect will continue through 2018.
