Make money matter

We help our clients use capital and compassion to impact the world’s complex challenges.

It used to be simpler. You invested for gain and to avoid risk. But as the planet warms, the population grows, and scarcity stimulates migration, inequality, poverty, hunger, and extinction of species, the real return on an investment and the true meaning of risk are being re-examined. Capital now has a purpose larger than digits in an account. Investors are investing not only for short-term gain, but, critically, for long-term survival.

pfc social impact is a social business helping investors do good. Our clients are philanthropists, family offices, impact investors, governments, corporations, financial institutions, and intermediaries at the leading edge of social and environmental change. We help our clients achieve philanthropy, impact investing and ESG with integrity and impact.

Discover the Power of Action Investing

A dynamic approach to addressing the complex, interconnected challenges facing our world today.

Knowledge

We conduct timely research and strategic evaluation with expert analysis to create meaningful case studies. One example is our Make Money Matter: Expanding Impact Investing for Sustainable Oceans, Fisheries, and Livelihoods case study. This work is now being taken a step forward with our current collaboration with the GIIN to develop standardized metrics for IRIS+ on the Marine Resources Conservation and Management theme.

Leadership

As evident in our case study study Impact Investing at Lumina Foundation: Potential, Pitfalls, and Progress, we equip executives to address problems with integrity at home and globally.

Strategy

We use our knowledge and experience to customize strategies for investors and advisors to maximize their social finance impact. View our Democracy Collaborative: Community Wealth Building and Regenerative Economics case study, which exemplifies a combination of all of our expertise to to take on wicked problems.

“Working with pfc has proven to be a step toward improving inequality, ending poverty and eliminating hunger.”
